Learn how to create a successful nonfiction children's project. Topics include finding a subject, researching, shaping ideas into a book or article, and writing for children. Participants will critique each other's work. Homework will include readings, writing a query letter, writing a project outline, or writing the first section of a non-fiction children's piece.
Deborah M. Prum has written a YA book on the Renaissance, Rats, Bulls, and Flying Machines. Her award-winning fiction has appeared in The Virginia Quarterly Review and other journals. Her essays air on NPR-member stations and appear in newspapers and magazines.
